On the 29th of October I officially became part of the family. It was awesome!!! Me and my sisters stayed at my nans house the night before to keep the tradition that the groom doesn't see the bride on the morning of the wedding. Joel stayed with my mum and my brothers. We had an amazing morning with all my family and friends helping me to get ready. I felt like a barbie but looked like a princess. However over at my mum's i was informed that the boys enjoyed playing Xbox and in true Joel style he had left his shoes on base!! Luckily my step dad managed to get him a pair before the wedding. It was so scary standing outside waiting to go in knowing that Joel was just a few feet away.
It was so funny inside. The night before me and my brother had been messing about and he told me he was going to object when the person asked if anyone knew of any reason why we shouldn't be married. He didn't say anything but i cracked up laughing just thinking of the conversation we had had that night.
Who would have thought saying two words 'I do' would make someone feel like the room had emptied and the world had stopped and the only person that was left was your husband. It was a truly touching experience and one that i will never forget.
Joel i love you so very much and i will always be here for you - in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer.
